Australia Day is Australia's official national day and one of its most important festivals.

The Australian Consulate-General in Chengdu hosted an Australia Day reception on 1 February at the Chengdu Landmark Hilton Garden Inn Hotel. The event invited representatives from important Australian businesses and chambers of commerce in the western region, providing opportunities for business negotiations and investment cooperation.

 Consul General Ni Ruilan of the Australian Consulate General in Chengdu delivered a speech at the reception, welcoming all guests, reviewing Australia's achievements over the past year, emphasising the importance of China-Australia relations, outlining prospects for future China-Australia cooperation, and finally expressing gratitude and best wishes to all guests.
