Closed-loop recycling system

The canisters use a patented tin-plating process which can withstand up to 20 cycles of melting and casting without quality degradation. Each recycled canister saves 1.3 L of crude-oil consumption, which is equivalent to a reduction of 3.2 kg of carbon emissions. We have established a directional ‘can-to-can’ recycling channel with Cleanaway and other recycling vendors, allowing the material to be reborn within 6 weeks. Our vegetable-based ink printing technology avoids heavy-metal contamination, and degrades seven times faster than traditional inks

Logistics warehouse

01. Optimise the spatial layout of warehousing to reduce carbon footprints.

- Design dynamic warehouse layouts based on low-carbon-logistics principles, concentrating high-turnover items in intelligent picking areas, and adopting mobile racking systems to reduce idle equipment usage.
- Establish an intelligent inventory early-warning mechanism that uses demand-forecasting models to accurately control stock preparation and reduce ineffective handling operations by more than 20%.
- Implement a green “storage-and-picking-in-one” layout model, using gravity shelves to enable automatic product sliding and completely eliminate secondary handling energy consumption.

02. Clean-energy equipment system

- Our constant-temperature warehouse employs a new-generation variable-frequency temperature-control system, adopts an Internet-of-Things environmental-monitoring platform, and links the air-conditioning, dehumidification and fresh-air systems in real time to precisely adjust temperature and humidity.
- The loading and unloading area is equipped with regenerative-braking intelligent forklifts, which recover braking energy and reuse it for equipment operation.

03. Intelligent low-carbon-operation system

- Weighing and distribution robots are deployed to continuously optimise packaging volumes and transport loading rates through machine-learning algorithms, enabling automatic weighing and distribution, improving on-site operational efficiency and reducing manual operations to lower energy consumption.

Environmental-responsibility commitment at our own TGA-certified factory

We recognise that corporate responsibility is not just about providing families with high-quality products, but also about proactively addressing our environmental impact. We have been granted an Environmental Licence by the South Australian Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Environmental Protection Act 1993. This licence not only demonstrates our full compliance, but also signifies our long-term commitment to environmental protection. The EPA licence authorises us to carry out operations that may have an impact on the environment within prescribed limits. To ensure our operations meet environmental standards, we strictly adhere to the following environmental-responsibility measures (including but not limited to):

General Environmental Obligations

We are legally required to take all reasonable and practicable steps to prevent or minimise environmental hazards arising from our operations.

Annual reporting

Each year we submit an annual forecast of our operational activities and, in some cases, emissions data for the previous year via the EPA online system. This data is used as the basis for calculating environmental charges.

Compliance monitoring and on-site inspections

Our manufacturing sites are subject to regular on-site (including unannounced) inspections by authorised EPA officials to verify compliance with emission standards, waste disposal specifications and other permit conditions.

Community Communication and Transparency

We believe that environmental protection is not just a matter of compliance, but also one of community trust. For this reason, we are proactive in communicating environmental information to the surrounding community: We proactively communicate with neighbouring communities about environmental protection to enhance understanding and support; we have established a feedback mechanism to respond to community concerns in a timely manner; and we actively participate in community-sustainable-development activities, sharing our environmental progress and experience.

In response to regulatory requirements, we have established a comprehensive Environmental Management System (EMS) to fully integrate EPA licensing requirements into our daily operations. Key initiatives include

Emission control and waste management

We adopt low-emission and low-pollution production processes and classify and standardise the treatment of all types of waste to ensure compliance with EPA emission standards.

Polluter Pays Principle

Our environmental-protection costs are based on the EPA’s ‘Polluter-Pays’ principle, whereby the level of costs is linked to environmental risks, further incentivising us to reduce emissions and improve resource efficiency.

Accident Response Mechanism

In the event of an environmental accident or potential pollution incident, we commit to notifying the EPA first and providing transparent information. At the same time, we have established a comprehensive internal incident-response process to ensure rapid containment and remediation.
